The three most important tips to find your calling

The three most important tips to find your calling

For most people Friday is the best day because the weekend is close. And on Sunday evening, the dread begins because Monday is approaching. Moreover, more than 60% of all employees have no emotional attachment to their employer. That means, that every second employee has quit inside…

It must not, and should not be that way. Because every human being is unique, and therefore has unique talents and strengths that no other person has. If you discover what these are, nothing stands in the way of your calling. Then it will only mean taking the first step in this direction. In order for you to succeed, I would like to give you a short summary from my book “The Good Spirit of Your Company”. Here are the three best tips.

The first tip:

  1. What would you do if money didn’t matter?

If you ask yourself this question, you’ll discover your true passion. Please don’t think “but I can’t earn money with that!”, because from many initial hobbies, good companies have emerged. Describe your passion on a letter size page. Take a position on the following points:

  • I wish I could…
  • Justify this with your strengths
  • Describe what you still lack (knowledge, experience, etc.)
  • To whom could you add considerable value?
  • Who (target audience) could benefit most from this, where and who has the greatest pain and is waiting for your help?
  1. Fill out a canvas

Canvas is an excellent tool to create a possible business model.

  1. Talk to friends about it

Ask your closest network for help. Show the canvas and ask for their opinion. Note: They should be friends, not anyone who might be envious or an eternal “Naysayer”. Ask for what is missing and whether they evaluate you positively. With that you exclude possible differences between your self-perception and the perception of others.

Have fun and good luck. Remember, the first step is always the hardest.
